Hebe Lin

Lin Liao Shi is a pleasure to work with. She is prepared for every session, engaging and encouraging, and she provides homework and additional support after the session. Could not be happier with her as a Chinese teacher.

Hebe’s teaching style is fun and supportive. She keeps me engaged with a combination of reading exercises, short writing prompts, and videos that touch on idioms and Chinese culture. I appreciate how organized and timely Hebe is. After class, she sends me the content we covered and a Quizlet link containing the new words I encountered. Learning a new language as an adult is hard. Hebe breaks down lessons into chunks that are appropriate for my skill level. This prevents me from being overwhelmed, and ensures that I am able to make steady progress by being able to focus on mastering a manageable amount of new content every week. Overall, I would highly recommend Hebe as a Mandarin instructor!
