Sofia Arista ✈

I had another class with Sofía today. I'm very glad I found her here on Italki. We focus on topics that I'm weak in and she's always prepared with relevant materials, excellent feedback and homework. Without Sofía's help, I would be stuck. I'm confident that my language level will improve as we continue along this learning path together. I just purchased another package of 10 classes!

I’ve tried many teachers on italki and other platforms, and Sofia is one of the best. Most other teachers either have no lesson plan or they strictly follow a boring workbook, whereas Sofia’s classes are very dynamic and you can tell she cares a lot about your progress. She’s always on time, with good internet, and will try to accommodate to your schedule. Since she is also a big traveler herself, she can relate to a lot of travel experiences around the world and knows what it’s like to navigate through different languages and cultures. I highly recommend Sofia as a teacher and thanks to her, my standards for recognizing high quality teachers has increased.

Sofia has the patience of a saint! One of my biggest fears before starting using italki was to make 'silly' mistakes. Sofia never makes you feel like there is any such thing as 'silly' mistake. She is brilliant at adapting to what the student needs and always comes in super prepared. As someone with ADHD, my mind always goes in a million different directions. Sofia has this wonderful way of letting my mind run free and yet be able to bring me back to the topic at hand. 10/10 !!!!

It’s been nearly five years (wow) and I still love every class with Sofia! She is always well organised and brings energy to each lesson. Recomendaría sus clases a cualquiera, a cualquier nivel. Gracias, Sofía!

Sofia always has a lot of patience when I am looking for words. I hope that I can spend more time to build up my vocabulary. Her translation from English to Spanish is impecable

Sofia is a great teacher. She is easy to understand and engaging. She has excellent communication skills and encourages the student to speak and provides feedback at the right moment. She also effectively uses articles of interest to the student to support their learning and has really helped me to improve my speaking ability.
