Soy una periodista nacida en Bogotá, Colombia. Me gusta hablar de todos los temas. Soy bailarina de danza árabe. Mi música favorita es la clásica, en especial la ópera, aunque también me gusta los ritmos latinos como el reggaeton. Mi escritor favorito es el colombiano Gabriel García Márquez y mi hobbie favorito es el cine, del cual considero que tengo muy buen conocimiento al haber cursado diplomados y cursos sobre la materia. Siempre he sido apasionada por los idiomas, además del mi idioma nativo, hablo inglés, italiano intermedio y estoy aprendiendo alemán.

Outstanding. I chose Carolina because of how clearly she spoke in her video, making it easy for me to understand her. I also was impressed that she is a journalist. I could tell that she was a nice person. She was very helpful and knowledgeable in our first lesson. I'm going begin regular lessons with her immediately.

Querida Carolina, I can now have the kinds of experiences in Spanish that I dreamed of years ago, and a lot of it is due to you. I can easily understand Planeta Juan's YouTube videos, and I really enjoy our illuminating conversations about them. Now that I'm at this level, I'm having a good time making my own YouTube videos and planning the next ones. Yes, I struggled a lot, for several years with some skills. Thank you for "hanging in there" with me. You're a great teacher!

I often say similar things about my lessons with Carolina, because they're consistently true. She works me hard. I feel like my brain is getting a workout. We pick difficult material and it's slow going, but I'm learning steadily. I'm learning about the legal system in Colombia and the standards of evidence, and I'm not involved in police or legal work--these are simply topics that have caught my interest in looking at other aspects of Colombian social life. Wherever you are in your studies of Spanish, Carolina can take you higher, at whatever pace you're ready for.

Currently we are watching some YouTube videos together. I could watch them on my own, but I get much more out of them, understand the content on a deeper level, and simply enjoy them more when we watch together, stop and discuss the narrator's comments and add our own. I recently started a bilingual YouTube channel, and this is a nice way to see what other influencers are doing. Great idea, Carolina!
