Ly Dau

I have had a pleasure of working with Ly for 6 months now and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the progress I've made under Ly's guidance. 1. Ly is such a talented teacher! I can now have simple conversations with native speakers. I worked with a number of Italki teachers, and Ly's teaching stands out. 2. Ly strikes a perfect balance between conversation and textbook during lessons. We begin each class with 20-30 minutes of conversation practice, followed by 30 - 40 minutes of new material focusing on grammar and vocabulary. Ly assigns homework which I find very helpful. 3. The learning materials provided by Ly are exceptional. She has created her own textbook that covers vocabulary, grammar, and exercises in a natural progression. I love the audio recordings which I can come back to later. Ly goes the extra mile to make all lessons enjoyable and I always look forward to them. I strongly recommend committing and booking 2 - 3 hours per week. You'll love to progress!

Ly has been incredibly help with me improving my Vietnamese speaking and overall understanding. Whenever I'm mispronouncing words she cordially helps me to correct my tones, and helps me to understand better ways to translate what I'm trying to say. She's a very good teacher.

You couldn't ask for a better Vietnamese teacher than Ms. Ly! I have been taking lessons with her for over a year now and have nothing but praise. Ms. Ly is always punctual, energetic, and well-prepared for lessons. Very impressively, despite having a large number of students, she always remembers which topics and even words we have already covered, and which we have yet to learn. Ms. Ly makes a difficult language easily approachable and fun to study, while also introducing the student to Vietnamese culture and geography. If you're in need of a Vietnamese tutor, look no farther!
