I have been engaged in teaching Chinese as a foreign language for more than ten years with great passion and gained wide acknowledgement from my student.
My teaching style is featured by relaxation with incentive-oriented teaching methods, creating a pleasant environment for the students. The relaxed class atmosphere can help the students overcome the psychological hurdle of "Chinese is difficult to learn. However, I am also strict with the students in some key issues. It is vital for the students to build up their confidence and get bold enough to speak Chinese. By using the incentive-oriented teaching method and encouraging them to speak Chinese, I relax the class atmosphere, pointing out their mistakes explicitly and encouraging their good points. I really enjoyed the lesson. Teacher Zhang created an encouraging atmosphere from the start, which made practicing pronunciation much less intimidating. We covered pinyin and some beginner vocabulary, and every explanation was clear, detailed, and easy to follow. I especially appreciated the precise corrections and the patience shown throughout the lesson.
