Yaritza is an excellent Spanish teacher who creates an environment where I feel confident and relaxed speaking. In her class I never feel judged, even when I “hago el oso” (make mistakes or say something silly), which makes it much easier to practice and improve. Her classes have a great variety of styles. Sometimes we focus on cultural exchange and conversation, other times we review a bit of grammar, but the best part is the interesting philosophical questions she brings into discussions. They make the conversations engaging and thought-provoking. Yaritza is incredibly intelligent, and it really shows in the way she guides conversations. Her background and experience in psychology add a unique and fascinating perspective to many topics we discuss. It makes the classes feel deeper and more meaningful than a typical language lesson. I always leave her classes feeling like I’ve learned something—not just about Spanish, but about people and ideas as well. I highly recommend her.
