Highly recommended! Patient, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced! I have been taking weekly lessons with Iván for the last 4 months. Iván is incredibly knowledgeable and patient, which creates a comfortable learning environment. He provides a wealth of new vocabulary and helpful corrections, but does it in a way that is never overwhelming. My spanish speaking has immensely improved thanks to these weekly lessons. Do yourself a favor and book with Iván!

I cannot say enough good things about Ivan! He’s a fantastic teacher, very patient, and is able to cater to your current skill level. Before I started lessons with him, my speaking skills were non-existent and now in a month, I have been able to piece together sentences comfortably. I know that in no time I will be able to become conversational in Spanish, with his help! His lessons are a mixture of structure and conversation. Personally, I love this because it allows me to link what I am learning into an every day scenario/situation. I highly recommend him!

I have been taking classes with Iván for the past 4 months and I would have never believed I could be this confident speaking Spanish. Through conversation, lessons, readings, Iván has helped me tremendously. He is very patient with me, lets me work through my mistakes and makes sure I learn from them and is constantly helping. I work a job where I have to speak Spanish to a majority of people I work with, and I do not think I would have been able to do that without the help of Iván. With the help and classes from Iván he made it possible, and after every lesson I feel like I get better and learn and am better able to speak to someone who is a native Spanish speaker. I can not recommend Iván enough if you are trying to learn Spanish, and a bonus that he has taught me Dominican phrases that I can use as well. So, if you are looking to learn Spanish, go to Iván!

Ivan is a great tutor. His teaching style very patient, attentive and reassuring. I like the fact that he corrects and provides explanations to me in Spanish (and English if necessary lol) which helps me improve my listening and comprehension. I am looking forward to continuing lessons with him.

I’ve had 7 sessions with Iván so far. He’s a fantastic teacher. I’m a 47 year old Puerto Rican born and raised in New York. I did not grow up speaking Spanish. I’m starting as a genuine beginner and have found Iván’s approach and demeanor incredibly helpful. He’s patient and offers helpful tips and resources to continue to improve in between sessions. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking to learn or improve their Spanish. At this point I’m 2.5 months into my Spanish learning journey and have made very good progress—Ivan being a significant part of that progress.
