Hello everyone!
My name is Ashley. I am a native British English speaker, born and raised in England.
I have worked in the taxi industry for over 20 years, so I am very used to speaking with people all day long, and also speaking with people from all over the world.
I enjoy photography, gardening and studying Mandarin Chinese and Korean.
Although I have only been teaching for a few years, I already have a passion for helping people with their English language journey.

I have been teaching English for 3 years. I became interested in teaching from my own studying of Chinese. I understand the need for practising speaking early on in a language journey, even though it seemed to be the most challenging aspect for me.
For this reason, I encourage my students to do lots of talking in a relaxed and pressure-free environment. I am very patient and aware of the worry about making mistakes. This is where I can help you the most. Making mistakes and learning from them, I believe, is the fastest way to improve your speaking skills.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I am a very relaxed person, and like to make my students feel comfortable. My lessons are mainly having conversations together, which are more like a chat with a friend. You can choose things to discuss which interest you, or I can list different topics for you to choose from.
For example, if you are moving to an English speaking country (or are already in one), we can roleplay day-to-day situations.
I will help you with pronunciation and sentence structures, and offer more colloquial alternatives that are in everyday use.

I'm lucky to have Ash as my English teacher! He is absolutely reliable and thoughtful. Ash knows Chinese, so he is definitely a good teacher to Chinese students as he knows the cultural difference and what kind of barriers of learning languages that we may have.
