Hi, my name is Elena and I work as director of German studies at a private language school. I am a qualified teacher of German as a foreign language (DaF) and a licensed TestDaF exams manager. I offer language assessment and exam preparation as well (Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking) including demo versions and material.
I am passionate about languages, the German language in particular as such that I love German literature and poems. I believe in the concept of communication as the basis of everything, especially when it comes to cultural exchanges. As a teacher I am a huge disciple of learning while speaking and love to give examples of context and situation. A structural approach to learning a new language is key. Grammar and vocabularies are mandatory while often more easily learned by heart through stories and repeated use. It is most important to have a good time and to have fun while learning, as well as keeping my teaching goal oriented towards your needs.

First we will start talking about your goals and figuring out a plan how to achieve them. I will have to get to know you a bit to find out which type of exercise will work out best for you. It is important that you can get fast results and enjoy your improvement. I will use the online chat for teaching as well as tools of conversation and pronunciation. After a couple of weeks with little or no German (due to time pressures) I had rather lost my confidence. Elena was so sensitive to what I needed and so supportive, and after this lesson I feel much happier and more positive about my studies.

As always, Elena is super well prepared. I enjoy very much my learning sessions. She is very patient and explain things in a way you can easily follow. My writing and German have improved a lot since I have her as a teacher. I totally recommend her!

Elena is a friendly teacher who tailors her classes to her students' individual needs. She makes good use of PDF documents for grammar exercises, and offers useful hints without giving away the answers. I would definitely recommend Elena as she's great at building her students' confidence.

Als promovierte Geisteswissenschaftlerin war es nicht einfach, eine gute Deutschlehrerin zu finden. Nachdem ich mehrere Leute ausprobiert hatte, entschied ich mich für sie.
