I'm an intermediate student looking to form new relationships and gain new perspectives along my learning journey. 雅雅老师 is a great fit. She is well prepared for class, asks me excellent questions, is always focused, and very patient. I chose to do classes watching movies together, breaking down the grammar and new language points. Not only am I learning new words, but I also see how they are used in conversation, and then I get to use them in our class, which really helps them stick. I always enjoy our class time.

Alice is one of the best teacher I ever had. I have changed language teachers with other language in italki. But I never changed in Mandarin. Fortunately, I found Alice 1st when learning Mandarin. She really care about my Mandarin learning. As requested by me, she corrects my tones. She helps me with my HSK preparation, make sure I can say out the sentences aloud, send me Quizlets to review what we studied & encourages me to speak in Mandarin. I have seen great improvements is my Mandarin especially. I just passed my HSK 3 just 2 months ago.

My vocabulary and speaking confidence have improved significantly while working with Alice. We often discuss daily life, and then we review what we covered in the previous class. Alice is very patient and always comes prepared with materials for our next session. At the end of each class, she shares the content with me so I can review it before our next meeting.

Been a student of Alice since 2018 when i first met her when i went to China to study at a language school for 6 weeks. During that time my learning was supercharged. I have been a student of hers online now for almost 5 years. She still brings that skill and preparedness to online lessons. My understanding of the Chinese language I credit almost entirely to her. An excellent teacher who I still look forward to having weekly lessons with even after all these years.

Today we did some grammar on separable verbs, as well as some listening and reading (and speaking of course!) Alice always explains everything in such a simple way and makes sure I have understood everything! Thank you so much!
