Hi, I'm Katie and I'm from Vancouver, Canada! I'm passionate about learning languages and helping others through the process! I study viola performance at a conservatory and I love discussing music, culture, history, languages, food, and anything else that you'd like. I speak French and Italian, am conversational in German and Spanish, and am learning Turkish. I will help you develop your fluency and also become familiar with everyday spoken English. I believe that speaking is the most important thing when you learn a language, even if it is difficult at the start!

I had a wonderful lesson with Katie! She is an incredibly friendly and positive person, and having a conversation with her was as natural as chatting with a good friend. I had a chance to speak a lot, and Katie was carefully listening and writing down the corrections, idioms and new words, so now I have a useful list of phrases to work on. I also enjoyed how well Katie was supporting the conversation, giving me time to speak as much as I wanted and helping me when I didn't know what to say. Overall, this was an absolutely great experience that I would be happy to repeat!

I’m so glad I had the chance to talk with Katie!
The atmosphere of the class was wonderful, and she kindly taught me correct English in a very clear way. She also helped me understand the areas I need to work on in my English conversation. I’m really looking forward to talking with her again in the next lesson.

I recently had my first lesson with teacher Katie and found it to be an excellent experience. She gave me plenty of space to finish my sentences without rushing, and listened very attentively throughout. She also asked thoughtful questions in a very friendly and encouraging manner, which made me feel comfortable and motivated to express myself. If you are considering lessons with Katie, I can wholeheartedly recommend that you do so — she creates a supportive and professional learning environment that will help you make real progress with your English.
