My name is Yulia. I like reading, math, and if I find a book that worth to be put on my shelf, I read it also in other languages I know, because I want to know how do the translators express the same idea in other languages. I like hiking, taking picture of nature, reading, maths, and learning new things.
I have 3 children. My husband is a Japanese man and I am happy to see my children speak two languages that are so different and they combine Russian and Japanese cultures.
We live mostly in Russia, but we spend long Russian school vacations in Japan. I am grateful to Italki, it gives me the opportunity to combine my desire to be a teacher and to decide freely where and when to work.
I began to teach Russian firstly as a tutor and I found that this is my passion. I like to help students to master a new language, to share with a way of our thinking, culture and news. I enjoy also to correct notes on italki and to answer questions.
I am a certified teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language, completed the Moscow State University’s courses.

This review is long over due, but I have been learning with Юлия for about 12 lessons or so, and she has been amazing every time. I always learn something new. I always leave each lesson feeling happy, and in a good mood, (even if I may have still struggled with the material). She is VERY patient, and tailors each lesson to focus on my weaknesses and strengthen information from previous sessions. I highly recommend her to anyone at any level! :)

I couldn't recommend Yulia more, her lessons are not only fascinating in that they draw from everything from current events to classic poetry and prose and art history, but they're also well laid-out, immediately engaging to look at, and intuitively designed. Yulia also speaks many languages, and this no doubt gives her a deeper understanding of the difficulties of confronting a new system of communication. I would highly recommend that you take her course. I took her breakthrough course, and I felt like my Russian improved tenfold as a result.
