Hi everyone,
My name is Tim. I am a native English speaker with a neutral accent. I am from Canada but I live in Berlin, Germany. I have four years of in-class and online teaching experience. Connecting with other people is something that I do naturally and enjoy. My other job is a professional music producer and sound engineer. After I finished a Bachelor's degree in classical guitar, I did a Masters in Sound Recording and then worked for 11 years as a music producer in Canada. I love languages and speak French, German and a little Spanish. Because of this experience, I can understand the sort of challenges that face language learners.지도 경험
I've had the pleasure of teaching children and adults from A1 to C2 using adaptive methods that respect the needs of each individual. While I believe that learning grammar and vocabulary are extremely important aspects of language learning, I like to have meaningful discussions with students, using this context as a vehicle to deliver new language skills. My background in music has helped me to develop skills as an expert in English pronunciation, coaching students on how to develop a clear, neutral English accent. It is worth noting that my skills in English writing and editing are quite advanced thanks my thirteen years of scholastic and professional experience. 내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I focus on speaking, using a variety of topics, ranging from day to day activities to broader subjects. For this reason, I find conversation provides a relaxed context for understanding each student’s ability with the aim of designing a plan to challenge each student to improve their pronunciation, style, grammar and vocabulary. I write notes while students speak. This helps when suggesting alternative language and for later review.
Young learners: I try to understand what inspires each student and then use this as a way to connect with them while delivering new language skills.
In my writing class, I will respect your writing style while enhancing it’s language and organization.내 수업 자료
