In Georgian: "რამდენი ენაც იცი, იმდენი ადამიანი ხარ."
By that measure, I’m 2.5 people - Georgian (my native tongue), English (fluent enough to guide you), and a dash of Russian.
Hi, I’m Mari - a language lover and cultural bridge-builder.
For years, I’ve welcomed travelers to Georgia through my tourism work, sharing our rich history and warm hospitality.
Now, I help students like you speak Georgian - whether for travel, heritage, or pure curiosity.

A few years ago, a friend of mine encouraged me to try my luck as a Georgian teacher - and looking back, it turned out to be one of the most interesting challenges of my life. Before that, I had never been a teacher.
And so my adventure began… On this journey, I’ve met many wonderful people from all around the world.
Every lesson teaches me something new and helps me grow as a teacher.
The feeling of pride and joy becomes stronger each time I see my students enjoy the process - discovering their Georgian voice, finding new ways to express themselves, and growing with confidence.

There are three main directions I use in my lessons:
I Basic Georgian - Here, you will learn the Georgian alphabet - reading, writing, the foundations of grammar and speaking.
II Essential Phrases and Dialogues - Designed especially for travelers, this direction focuses on useful expressions, real-life conversations, and cultural tips.
III Reading and Speaking
This is for students who already know some Georgian and wish to improve their fluency, expand vocabulary, and speak with confidence.

Today in the eleventh lesson we studied the possessive case (for both nouns and proper names), as well as counting up to 100. Georgian numbers are twenty-based (20+15, 3x20+17 etc), so it's quite challenging, but Mari explains the logic and linguistic rules behind. So it helps a lot! Madloba!!
