Nihao:) I'm a native mandarin speaker from Taiwan. I love traveling and meeting people from different culture. I lived in Scotland for 2 years and currently living in Australia. I am fluent in English and since I always have a great interest in teaching foreign friends my mother language(Mandarin), I decided to become a tutor.

Ting was so kind for my first Mandarin conversation! I was very nervous and embarassed but she was patient and encouraging! She did a good job GENTLY pushing me to switch back to Mandarin, but I told about myself mostly in English while we discussed my goals for iTalki. I was just about to cancel out of anxiousness but now I want to have more conversations with her!

I just had my first lesson with Ting Yeh and I really enjoyed it! Even though I was a bit shy and self-conscious, she always kept me engaged in the conversation, coming up with interesting questions, encouraging me but also correcting my mistakes. I am really looking forward to the next lesson!
