We talked about my latest doctor's appointments. The session turned into some fun research regarding ADHD medications and how they're perceived in Japan. Sayumi-san, thank you for listening to my stories!

We discussed some health issues I've been dealing with. Sayumi-san, thanks for listening to my concerns! We also talked about fishing, the different ways people fish, and what they can catch.

We got to talk about Sayumi-san's husband's work and what he used to do. It is very cool! We also discussed スーパーの裏でヤニ吸うふたり, a fun little romantic comedy anime we both happen to watch.

We talked about my health and hair removal. It seems that I might be expecting it to cost more than it should. We also reviewed ことにする and 異にしている. My understanding of the differences were wrong, but Sayumi-san explained it in a way I could easily understand.

I told Sayumi-san a story about visiting several restaurants over the long weekend. We also worked through exercises in Genki 2 Chapter 23. The causative passive forms are a lot to remember, but I think I'm slowly getting it!

Sayumi seems wonderful. I just did a consultation of sorts so I can't speak on how she structures lessons or plans her curriculum yet, but she was very kind and straightforward about the tutoring process and finding a path forward. My intended plan is to continue learning with textbooks and have conversation practice, which see seems more than capable and willing to do. I look forward to officially starting with her in the near future!
