Professional Bilingual Chinese Teacher/20 Years of Experience Hello! My name is Ivy. I’m originally from Chengdu, China, and I’ve been living in the U.S. for many years. I have over 20 years of teaching experience in education, and in the past 1–2 years, I’ve focused specifically on teaching Chinese. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, exploring different foods, and making videos about Chinese culture and daily life. I truly enjoy meeting people from different countries and helping them understand modern Chinese language and culture. I’m friendly, patient, and always happy to support your learning journey. I look forward to meeting you and learning your story! I am a professional Chinese teacher with 1–2 years of experience teaching Mandarin to international learners. I have over 20 years of experience in education overall, and I hold a Mandarin Proficiency Certificate as well as a California teaching credential in Chinese. I teach students of different ages and levels, including beginners, intermediate learners, adult students, and heritage speakers. I enjoy helping students build confidence, improve pronunciation, and express themselves naturally in everyday situations. Ivy Shi is an excellent teacher, and her lesson was challenging, interesting and enjoyable. During the lesson she asked me a plethora of questions pertaining to a particular topic that I selected, and corrected my enunciation of certain words.
