With 17 years experience in teaching and 20 in Tourism, I specialise in supporting B2-C2 students, professionals & travellers master English for study, work and life.
I love walking, nature, the coast and countryside.
Having lived in London and overseas, I also enjoy exploring towns, cities and culture, both locally & further afield, including Hong Kong & The Netherlands.
As a lifelong explorer of cultures and languages, I love connecting with students worldwide.

I'm patient, friendly and flexible and want you to feel relaxed and enjoy our lessons. I value getting to know students as individuals. I’m a highly experienced TEFL qualified online teacher and former classroom teacher.
I like to understand why you're learning English, what your approximate current level is, and how I can best support you to cover your learning priorities and achieve your goals.
I will happily offer regular and positive, but honest feedback as we go !

I try to work in ways which support your learning best through eg conversation, using materials to read/discuss to extend your vocabulary and strengthen your sentence construction, or specific activities to support your grammar. Learning (and teaching!) should be interesting and fun :-)
We can agree your preferred ways of learning and focus together.
I have many long term, regular students, but new students are welcome too!

Annette is an excellent English teacher, and I highly recommend her! Patient, attentive, and a great listener, she corrects me gently and clearly. After several lessons, I’ve seen real progress in my conversation skills - I’m learning new vocabulary every time and feel much more confident when speaking. She’s also been incredibly helpful with my interview preparation, offering not only language support but also valuable feedback on my answers, which I’ve used during real interviews.
