Both as a teacher and as a human being, I’m always looking for ways to become a better version of myself — and I LOVE helping my students on their quests to do the same thing. One of my greatest passions outside of work is music. As an amateur but enthusiastic singer/songwriter, I love working with musicians! My approach to teaching and coaching is consistently student-centered. Each student is different, so my role as an Accent Coach is different with each student, too! I love the freedom of getting to know my students one-to-one. Understanding who someone is as a person helps me understand how I can help as a coach. I’m constantly adapting session activities and techniques to support each student’s own unique goals, learning styles, and preferred pace of study. I’m also sensitive to people’s feelings and attitudes, so I’m usually quite good at knowing when to challenge a student to work harder — and when it’s better to relax the mood a bit.
