Hello! I'm a native English speaker from Derby in the UK. I love language learning, music, travel, tech and video games.
I graduated from York St John University in 2020 with a Bachelors in Psychology. After graduating, I spent 3 years living in Japan and met some amazing people! I love many things about Japanese culture, such as the beautiful temples and castles, eating ramen and relaxing at onsens. I've been teaching for 5 years now, both online and at a language school in Japan. I've taught people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, as well as group lessons and private lessons. I have experience teaching focused lessons such as exam preparation and business English skills, as well as conversation practice and travel lessons. So, whatever your need, I will do my best to support you!
My favourite thing about teaching is:
• Seeing people use English to achieve their goals and dreams
• Helping students grow in confidence using English

I try to keep my lessons relaxed and interesting, with resources that use natural everyday English, such as the 'Breaking News' website or 'BBC learning English'. I can prepare you for exams like IELTS or TOEFL, business presentations or roleplay everyday or travel situations.
A typical lesson:
1. Catch up about your week or discuss something you've read/listened to in English
2. Reading and listening practice- using stories, videos or real life situations based on topics you're interested in
3. Speaking practice - using new words or phrases to level up your English
