Beginner-Friendly Mandarin Tutor | Pronunciation, Characters & Cultural Insight I’m a native Chinese speaker from Malaysia. During university, I began tutoring non-Chinese friends, which led me to become an online Mandarin teacher. I’ve been teaching adult learners online for over 4 years. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL). I specialize in teaching adult beginners. Before my master’s program, I developed my Mandarin teaching skills through hands-on experience. Now, my academic training exposed me to multiple teaching approaches for different learner needs. My lessons are fully customized to your goals. I carefully track your progress, especially pronunciation, tones, and commonly confused characters, and design targeted practice to help you truly master them. Each lesson includes structured review, so even busy learners can make steady progress without stress. All lesson materials are shared with you, so you can focus on learning instead of note-taking. I specialize in guiding beginners, helping you build accurate pronunciation from scratch through listening-based training and teaching you how to recognize Chinese characters logically. I adapt materials and cultural context accordingly. Together, we’ll work for your Mandarin progress.
