I am a TEFL Certified English teacher from the United States, and I currently live in Detroit, Michigan. I am originally from Dallas, Texas, and I have a neutral American accent. I studied Biomedical Ethics at Brown University and received my Masters in Business Administration from New York University. I have a worked as a management consultant for more than 25 years across a variety of industries. I have two children and love working with kids. My personal interests are travel, food, and arts and culture. I speak both Italian and Spanish fluently. I lived in Italy and I am married to a Spaniard. As a child I went to school in France. I received my 170 hour TEFL certification plus an additional 20 hour certification for teaching online. I enjoy teaching students of all ages starting at about 7 years old. Throughout my business career, i have always volunteered as a literacy tutor and while I was doing my MBA I worked as the Teaching Assistant to the Communication Department. I have always had an interest in teaching especially as it relates to language. I want to make sure that each of my students sets themselves up for success and gains the superpower of speaking another language.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
No two lessons are the same because no two students are the same. I customize each lesson to the specific goals and needs of my students. I utilize the tools that I believe work best for each students. Some students prefer listening activities while others are visual learners. Some like to work repetitively on grammar while others want to expand their vocabulary in business communication. I take lots of notes at each lesson and look for repeated errors to identify needed areas of improvement. I tailor the topic of conversation or reading to the interests of my students ranging from cooking to legal issues to dinosaurs. I strive to make each lesson fun, educational, and useful.내 수업 자료
