I really appreciate the effort Emilee has put into making me more mindful of my voice and its flexibility when it comes to pronunciation. The activities we worked on were a completely new experience - something I had never tried before or even imagined I’d be able to do. At times, it felt a bit like an acting class, but honestly, this might be the best possible way to understand the true nature of American pronunciation. Thank you, Emilee! I’ll see you in August!

Today, Emilee helped me realize just how expressive and nuanced her native language is. She also introduced me to the concept of "subtext," which I find both fascinating and essential for understanding the deeper mechanics of American English. I've been gathering resources on pronunciation for a long time, yet Emilee manages to introduce new elements I've never encountered before in every lesson - it's amazing.
Thank you, Emilee, for your professional analysis of this short TBBT clip - I’m sure I’ll benefit greatly from it!

Today, Emilee helped me realize just how challenging it can be to fully grasp the rhythm of English. However, challenging doesn’t mean impossible to learn. In fact, the more difficult something seems, the more determined I am to take it on. Paying closer attention to what we discussed today - especially while watching movies or listening to music - may help me develop a better understanding of English rhythm. Thank you, Emilee, for setting another milestone and giving me a new goal to work toward!

I'm glad we delved into the technical aspects of asking questions because, honestly, I struggle with it - my questions often don't even sound like questions! My intonation doesn’t rise when it should, so they end up sounding more like statements. Emilee explained that not all questions require rising intonation, but some definitely do. Using examples from popular shows and movies makes learning about pronunciation much more engaging. I already can't wait for the Questions - Part 2 lesson!

Today, I felt like I was in an acting class, impersonating an American speaker and conveying different messages using the same sentence. It was a really interesting activity - one I had never tried before. We also focused on asking questions, which is one of my weaknesses and something I need to keep working on. American pronunciation is definitely challenging, mainly because it feels more dynamic and expressive than my native language. However, with Emilee’s guidance, I’m really starting to understand how it all works beneath the surface.

I find minimal pairs exercises to be an excellent way to improve my pronunciation. They’re not easy, but as they say: no pain, no gain! Mastering specific, often tricky sounds is essential before moving on to other concepts related to American pronunciation. I can’t wait to put what I’ve learned into practice using video resources from my favorite shows. Thank you, Emilee! I can’t find the right words to express how much I appreciate your help.
