I've been teaching Japanese for 6 years. I once sailed from Japan all the way to Australia — and that journey changed the way I see the world. I also spent six months studying in the UK, where I discovered firsthand how challenging and rewarding it is to live in a foreign language. Those experiences are at the heart of how I teach.
Now, with six years of Japanese teaching experience, I love helping people who dream of traveling to Japan or one day calling it home. Every lesson is a real conversation — about travel, culture, and the stories that connect us. I've been teaching Japanese for six years. When I was a student, I worked as a tutor and cram school instructor for English and mathematics. I also volunteered for four years reading to students in the morning at an elementary school and worked in after-school childcare. I was a member of a Japanese language club as part of a city volunteer activity. The ages of my students range from 9 to 70 years old.
I’m very happy to receive feedback from students who enjoy my lessons. I like to hear about their success in passing JLPT N3, and hear from those who are working hard to aim for N1.
The main textbook is "Minna no Nihongo." I also use supplementary materials like eBooks and YouTube. Since the student has a solid foundation, I focus only on conversation, using other materials flexibly for news and...
