Hiyori 日和

日和先生は一番先生！ 今日のクラスはとても楽しくて、手伝います！ She is very kind and super fun to work with. She pushes me to the next level and motivates me to keep going.

It just occurred to me that Hiyoriさん has an incredible ability to draw out (of me) some fairly complicated grammar and vocab during our conversations. I'm realizing that it's normally with Hiyoriさん that I use a grammar concept or word for the first time. These grammar concepts might be something I've heard passively, and because of the topics we speak about, I finally have the ability to attempt to use them. As a consequence, I feel so accomplished when I do so, and that's thanks to Hiyoriさん's skills as a conversationalist.

This lesson was fanatic. It really stretched my brain and challenged me. We worked on some Genki II topics including vocabulary, reading, and grammar points. We started the lesson with small talk which warmed my brain up. 日和先生 really pushes me to the next level in my learning. I appreciate it. I frankly feel dumb since I speak at a kindergarteners level, but she makes me feel good about myself, and encourages me.

Hiyori先生 is so easy to talk to and patient! She kindly accommodates my needs and adjusts to my beginner level. Talking with her makes me feel calm and relaxed, and I feel understood and heard. I also appreciate that she speaks only in Japanese, even when I don’t understand everything. She patiently waits until I understand and explains things in a simple way. This helps me fully immerse myself in the language and learn directly from her words. 毎授業本当に楽しくて勉強になります。ありがとうございます！

Another lovely lesson! Hiyori sensei is great and she challenges me greatly. I’m an academically inclined person, and I love the way she incorporates textbook concepts into day to day conversations.
