Hi, I'm Mila! I enjoy interacting with people from various countries as it enables me to learn a lot about different cultures. I'm into portrait photography, photo editing, crocheting, sightseeing and travelling. When I lived in China, I visited Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai and Changzhou. I've also been to Vietnam where I stayed in Nha Trang for a week. In my free time, I usually watch movies (Hollywood, Bollywood and Turkish), TV series and documentaries. Among TV series, my favorites are Friends and The Big Bang Theory.지도 경험
I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in secondary education major in English. After passing the licensure exam for teachers in the Philippines, I earned a 120-hour certificate in TESOL and a 30-hour certificate in Phonology for English Language Teaching. I have over 6 years of experience in teaching English to foreign students which started months before I graduated. I have been teaching foreign students of various English proficiency levels, from beginner to intermediate, and across different age groups, from children to senior adults. I have also experienced teaching abroad. I taught one-on-one and group classes at an English center in Suzhou, China for 2 years. 내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I offer free talk, conversational classes and structured classes. I understand that learning a language can be quite challenging, so I always strive to make my classes enjoyable and engaging. Given that many students lack ample opportunities to practice their target language, I usually allow for more student-talking time. I am open to suggestions. In fact, I would love to hear suggestions from students as they can undoubtedly assist me in enhancing the learning experience. This is my review after one year of English lessons with the amazing teacher Mila. Her lessons are always well-organized and prepared. I appreciate her presentations on various topics and the real-life questions she includes in our discussions. It’s not just about reading pre-prepared articles from some website. She puts real effort into making the lessons original.
Mila always listens carefully and asks follow up questions that help deepen our discussion. I'm not a fast learner, and sometimes I need my mistakes pointed out multiple times before I start using something correctly. She corrects my grammar and pronunciation, and I have notes in the chat after each lesson to know what to focus on.
Mila is a wonderful person and I always feel comfortable and open when talking to her. She has been helping me maintain conversations and expand my vocabulary. Thank you, Mila.
