My name is Joan, I'm from Barcelona and I'm a Spanish teacher. I have a degree in Spanish Philology and two Master's Degrees in Spanish Teaching, one for teaching to foreign students and another one for working in high schools.
I like teaching my language to people, as well as learning new languages. I can speak Spanish, Catalan, English and some French and Japanese. I also like travelling and meeting new people. I'm always interested in learning new things about other cultures.
I consider myself to be a patient and calm person.지도 경험
I'm a calm and patient teacher and I can adapt to my student's pace. I like to make sure that my student understands everything and I don't mind explaining as many times as needed. I try to have my student actively participate in class, instead of me speaking all the time and reciting rules and theory. However, I am quite grammar focused and like doing exercises, reading and practising what we learn, so my classes are pretty structured, not just conversation practice about random topics.
I am available for either recurring classes every week or single classes once in a while. So don’t worry if you have a busy schedule or if you just need me to help you practice from time to time.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I will adapt to your level. We will learn the different skills of the language: reading, listening, writing, speaking and interacting.
By default, my lessons will follow the structure and the contents of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (Levels A1 to C2), but we can instead focus on those aspects that interest you the most or those grammar topics that you are having trouble with (just let me know).
My lessons are organized and have a logical order. I follow the structure of a language book and I add some additional exercises. But you don't need to buy anything. We will work together in a Google document, which you will be able to access or download anytime.학력

The classes with Joan are enjoyable and informative. His accent is neutral and he is good to understand. Additionally, the lessons are prepared and he will guide you step by step. Nonetheless, when you are curious about something you can bring up topics of your own as well. And you will increase your vocabulary every lesson.

I always enjoy my classes with Joan. The classes are structured with many opportunities for reading, writing, talking, and asking questions. They are fun, but also informative. And he is giving me an appreciation of Spain. When travel is easier, I would love to go there!

I had a trial lesson with Joan today, and I was very impressed. He came well-prepared with a clear structure for the session and explained each step as we went along. He used targeted exercises to assess my current level and reinforce the grammar I already knew, which made the 30-minute session fly by.
Joan leans toward structured, grammar-focused lessons, so if you're mainly looking for conversation practice, it’s worth mentioning that to him in advance. That said, his approach is interactive and supportive. He shared a Google Doc during and after the class so I could follow along and review the material later.
He also uses English effectively to clarify things when I don’t fully understand in Spanish, which really helped me feel more comfortable. I left the class with a much clearer idea of how to approach my Spanish learning journey. His Spanish is easy to understand, and I believe he can offer a well-structured curriculum. I'm looking forward to continuing lessons with him.

Joan is a super kind and dedicated teacher who puts a lot of effort into every lesson! He has been helping me prepare for my mock oral exam and even though he wasn't familiar with the exam format and content, he prepared examples and vocabulary for each topic as well as correcting my prepared responses and answering any questions I had. This was also my first time trying online language lessons so I was quite nervous but his friendly and open nature made me feel at ease :)) I would definitely recommend him to anyone - ¡gracias por todo Joan!
