Hi!
I’m a certified Spanish teacher from Mexico, passionate about languages and cultures. As a native speaker, I’ll teach you authentic Spanish, enriched by my international experiences, from training in classical ballet in Russia (where I learned some Russian!) to working in audiovisual production in Mexico.
Learning different languages (English, Russian, French, and Italian) has given me the tools to understand the challenges you face when learning a new language.
Let’s bring Spanish to life with topics that inspire you!

I try to have available as many language learning techniques as possible and focus on what works best for each person.
I also try to keep it practical, I want you to experience the language rather than memorizing words and grammar rules. However, if grammar works for you I can prepare step-by-step lessons.
If I give you advice, it means that I have put what I am telling you into practice while learning another language.
More than teaching you I will be training you to use and understand Spanish. 내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I want you to learn about the topics and vocabulary that you need, or that you are interested in.
I take that as a basis for how to structure the lessons.
I give you exercises that help you discover the language rather than me explaining it to you.
I also give you exercises to practice on your own. I don't want you to memorize words and rules, I want you to practice until you are comfortable listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

That's the reason I took a 140-hour certificate course (DIEELE) for teaching Spanish by the International House Mexico, an institution endorsed by the Instituto Cervantes.
During this time I've improved my skills as a teacher and I have applied every day what I've learned in the DIEELE course.

Cristian is everything you’d want in a language teacher- skilled, kind, patient, supportive, and fun! With so many great teachers on italki, it was hard to choose at first, but I’m so glad I stuck with him. We’ve been working together for 6 months, and he’s truly the best. He creates a comfortable learning space where questions are always welcome. His lessons strike the perfect balance of structure (often around helpful themes) and also flexibility based on my needs and interests. He uses a variety of engaging materials, and provides short, manageable practice or suggestions between lessons. Cristian is also very organized, and shares materials through an easy to use Google drive. Most importantly, he’s helped me significantly improve my Spanish. I feel more confident in both my comprehension and expression, and continue to make steady progress. If you want a teacher who is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also genuinely cares about your progress, I highly recommend Cristian!

Best Spanish teacher I’ve worked with! Christian is amazing and up leveling my Spanish in ways I didn’t realize could be done. I’m convinced Cristian has got to be one of the best teachers on Italki. He is so easy to talk to (even in my limited Spanish), and provides a positive learning environment for his students. I leave his calls feeling confident that I can make a lot of progress in Spanish with his help and inspired to learn more. He is very encouraging and also patiently explains grammar/vocabulary when I ask for help. I really appreciate that he takes the time to write new vocabulary down for me as well.
