Here at iTalki I have specialized in teaching Dutch to all level of students: from A0 to C1, inburgering, and medical Dutch for healthcare professionals. I like to keep a mixture of fun and professional, in other words that I like to keep things fun and in a positive light where a joke is definitely possible. However, when it comes down to it I am serious in my desire to teach other people some of my languages and cultures.

Docent Nederlands, voor een interactieve, gezellige les met nadruk op spreken en grammatica Here in China I found a lot of people, both kids and adults that wanted to speak or learn from foreigners. As such I slowly learned how to teach people. Now I feel confident to teach English as well as Dutch. Teaching is a lot of fun to me, seeing students grow from beginners into full native speakers is great. As such I want to teach more people here on Italki. I am still in NY right now but still working normally I am very patient. I think it's important to make it fun and not forced. We can talk about anything you want, i am interested in many things so i can learn a lot from you! Don't hesitate to ask questions, non questions are stupid. My favorite quote is "Cogito ergo sum"from Descartes, it reminds you about that we don't know anything in life but life itself and that we should always be open to new information because we will keep learning until we breath our last breath. My next favorite quote connects to the last one and goes like this "the more you know the more you know you don't know" from Aristotle. Which basically means that you have to realize how much you don't know.

But since the start of the crisis, I have been teaching online fulltime. I´ve always loved meeting people and talking to people so when I stopped travelling and settled down here in Mexico, working as teacher was a logical step. I really enjoy seeing my students develop and improve. I´ve taught people between the ages of 14 and 70.
