✅ Conversation Practice is key to learning a new language! My lessons focus mainly on CONVERSATION practice. Practical things you can use right away in a day to day setting. And the topics of conversation are around topics that are important or interesting to you. Building your confidence in speaking the language and growing your vocabulary from Day 1! From small talk, how your day or week has been, family and friends, hobbies and personal interests to practical exercises like asking for directions, etc. All of this happens in a comfortable and non-forced setting. My classes are both fun and educational! My lessons are very personalised. I always start with getting to know you better. Especially during the trial lesson.

"laid-back and easy to converse with.." Because of my diverse background, I consider myself to be an interesting and fun conversation partner, who makes you feel comfortable and at ease. I'm very easy to talk to, open-minded and stress-free, so I will have you chatting like a champion in no time. Also for the beginners: have no fear! I am pretty laid-back and I can adapt my lessons to your level. The motto is 'fun, while learning!'. Also, I have been living abroad long enough now, to have lost my 'Dutch directness' and I get along quite well with people from different cultures.

Learning a language is hard work, but there's no rule that says you can't also enjoy it. :) I have worked as a teacher in high school for Dutch and in adult education for Dutch and German. Since secondary school, I have been tutoring students in Dutch, English and German. At the moment I also work as a tutor for criminal law, looking for a place to obtain a PhD. I can easily adapt to your (language) learning needs and style. I believe that you learn the most when you're enjoying what you're doing and having fun. My lessons are conversation based; I do not teach Dutch from scratch and I do not offer a structured A to Z course. I'd rather see myself as a coach on your language learning journey than as a teacher pur sang. After all, it's you who has to do the learning!

There I noticed how I love to be in contact with others and how much energy I gained with this. Exploring each other potential is one of my favorite things to do. I like to work constructively and I believe that conversations in other languages flow naturally when your convo partner makes you feel at ease. Your learning process is central here! My go-to approach is a conversational one as I am 200% convinced that the best way to learn a language, is to learn how to speak it. I studied science and technology at the Leeuwenborgh institute In the Netherlands and my job was training new employers to get ready for their job. In Thailand I started to teach at the local primary school of my village. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get my TEFL certificate and did additional courses for natural learning, specially for kindergarten kids. I have experience teaching at kindergarten, primary school and secondary school as well as in business English.
