I do think however, that it's okay to make plenty of mistakes since this is a big part of learning a new language and also from what you learn the most. So during our conversations or an exercise I will mainly let you go ahead and discuss some corrections later, instead of constantly interrupting you. The most important thing is that you get a lot of practice with the language, that speaking Dutch becomes comfortable for you and that you show progress instead of shutting down because you're striving for perfection :)

Teaching 11 languages, currently learning 3 more, 20+ years of experience as a teacher When teaching I take both my schedule and my classes seriously. When a class is scheduled, it is part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what I have been doing with my student, I write down every session, thus it is easy for me to check what we did on our previous sessions. I used to teach more conventionally, meaning with my students being in the same room as me. In 2021 I started using Skype for my classes (I now conduct my lessons on Teams) and things work out very well. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students take for our lessons, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same.

Young Teacher with a Passion for Languages I have good first hand experience with what it's like to learn a forgeign language on your own. On top of this, I have very much been enjoying helping people learn Dutch. It started with helping my girlfriend in her Dutch study, and this enjoyment that I got from assisting and guiding someone in their Dutch study, made me decide to start exploring the idea of becoming an actual online tutor. Probably the most efficient way to learn Latin & Greek I have been teaching spoken Latin & Greek at iTalki for more than three years now, and have taught Latin at a number of institutions in the past.
