Certified language teacher with over 10 years of teaching experiences I think the most important quality as a teacher is the ability to encourage learners. Learning a language is not always easy and there are ups and downs. And it requires quite a bit of efforts and dedication. I believe that a good teacher makes learning more pleasant even when learners bump into obstacles, and makes them feel comfortable and relaxed so that they can speak without feeling nervous. So I try to be a good listener. I also try to make each class fun and helpful with enough preparation. One more thing: I teach mainly late teens~adults. I'm just better with grown-up learners :)

Most of the time, we are simply recalling and reusing things we have heard before. That’s why repetition is naturally very important. My job is to find ways to make that repetition effective without making it boring. Each student receives homework tailored to their needs, including high-quality personalized audio recordings. With this homework, my students can practice reading, writing, and listening together, which makes a big difference. I usually don’t leave written feedback after class. If something needs to be discussed, I prefer to talk about it during the lesson.
