I am a professional teacher who works in Canada. Prior to teaching, I worked as a support worker for people with disabilities, so I'm familiar with assisting a diverse range of people!
I enjoy traveling and have lived in Singapore and Japan. While in Japan, I learned to speak Japanese and to play the koto. In addition to the koto, I also play piano and guitar. Playing music is one of my favourite hobbies, along with caring for houseplants and outdoor activities like camping. I love exploring new places and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

I take teaching notes during class and send feedback in iTalki chat. I provide homework assignments and regular communication through feedback and progress updates.
My teaching style is Task-Based Language Teaching. This style has a large amount of student participation and conversation. It helps students gain confidence, fluency, and the ability to use English authentically.
