I am Larry, an online English teacher from the Philippines. I have a BA in English and Political Science and I am also TESOL certified.
I have been teaching English online to different Asian nationalities with various levels of English skills. The experience has broadened my understanding of different cultures. I have also gotten to know what drives people.
Outside of work, I like to walk my pooches in late afternoons to enjoy the sunset. I also like to watch movies. There's nothing like a good scare from a horror film or an adrenalin rush from a good action flick. Once in a while, I like to go trekking with some friends.Ja jako nauczyciel
My teaching philosophy is to always engage the student. I try to make the discussions stimulating, insightful, and relatable to the student's personal experiences and interests. My classes are conversational. They are relaxed and casual. Freetalk is integrated into the topic.
I believe that:
>Conversations are an effective way of learning a language.
>Conversations let the learners apply what they have previously learned from structured lessons.
>Conversations make the language learner realize better ways to speak English because they naturally make mistakes along the way and they learn from these.
