💬Hello, I am Elena. I was majored in Chinese Language and Literature, 10 years of full time teaching experience, currently live in Spain. 💬Always experimenting with new ways to guide students to the next goal in an interesting way, be able to make content knowledge relatable to students of all background, to overcome cultural and linguistic barriers. 💬Use multiple creative methods of instruction, I made my own flashcard for my students, games for children, my very own method to teach Chinese characters in a motive and effective way.

The teacher won't stop speaking in English, doesn't pick up on social cues or direct requests from the student, and offers advanced corrections too soon, which is not good pedagogy. I had to stop the lesson after ten minutes because she wouldn't stop talking (in English rather than the target question) or moderating her use of the target language (by repeating, speaking slower, or using chat).
