There are two big events took place yesterday. First,my uncle got married, my aunt and he have had a romantic relationship since their high school. During the wedding, I was moved to tears, because I was envious of their love. Hope they can live happily ever after. Second, I received an email informing me that I got a scholarship in my second year at university.Although it is the lowest tiers of scholarship, i still cherish it. Because it represents my hard work paid off

There were two big events that took place yesterday. First, my uncle got married. He and my aunt have had a romantic relationship since high school. During the wedding, I was moved to tears because I was envious of their love. I hope they can/will live happily ever after. Second, I received an email informing me that I got a scholarship in my second year at university. Although it is the lowest-tier scholarship, I still cherish it because it shows that my hard work paid off.
Congratulations and good job! A few notes about word choice: It is ok to use envious here. However, I will warn you that it has a bit of a negative connotation (or I think it does; others might disagree)- it’s similar to jealous in that it sounds a bit like you’re bitter because your aunt and uncle have something you don’t have. Here’s how I might say it without the bitterness: I was moved to tears because their love was so beautiful and I hoped in the future I could have a relationship like theirs. because I wished I could have a love like theirs. And about « cherish »- again, it’s ok. But I think it’s a sentimental word- used in weddings and such, or you might cherish a sentimental item. A man might say he cherishes the woman he wants to marry, and she might cherish a necklace he gives her. It’s not too out of place here, but I think it might imply more of a devoted love than you mean. You might try something a bit less strong: I am still proud of it I am still excited about it Maybe I’m off about this, but that’s my two cents. They’re good words to know, and you did a good job.
