Today I wrote the municipal round of the All-russian Olympic in History of Arts, because I really enjoy this science and directly different forms of art. Every round of this Olympics organizers devise one theme (it could be absolutely everything) and compose all exercises only about that. And today the theme was... TABLES! When do you think about 'tables in art', what do you imagine? :) There were excercises about tables from other historical periods, different types of tables and also, we had to write three essays. The first one was about designs of tables by artists from the twentieth years of the last century, the second one was about a role of a table in the part of the performance 'Hamlet' of Lindcy Terner in London (with Benedict Cumberbatch) and the third essay was about tables in pictures of two great russian artists from the twentieth century: Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin and David Shterenberg. So, today Olympic was very interesting and I really enjoyed to think and then to write about these forms of art!
Do you like art and History of art? Which forms of art do you like more?
PS: There is the picture of the great russian artist Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin. It was in my today Olympic. I like the creature of this painter very much! If you hadn't heard about him, I would have advised you to watch his pictures! :)
