Today my co workes and I celebrated my boss birthday, although her birthday is this Sunday. At work, we have a tradition about birthdays. The person who will celebrated chooses a dish and their favorite cake. Company pays the cake and the co workers pay the food but you should not participate if you don't want, you are free to say "no". Also, you department work should organizate your little birthday party. It's a beautiful tradition because co workers also decorate your work place and give you little presents. This time, my boss chose the ice cream cake of cheese cake with strawberry, it's very delicious! I love this cake, she usually choose carrot cake (very delicious too) but today she made a change with her choice. Further, we enjoyed a delicious food. Finally, I am still looking for a present for her, I have no idea what give her, my mind in it yet. I hope to find the perfect present.

Nice job! Since you guys have already celebrated her birthday today it should be talked about in past tense. When you’re describing in general the company’s tradition it is fine to use present tense but when you describe the specific details of the day they should be talked about in the past. “Today she made a change with her choice” sounds a little strange, I personally would say “she made a different choice” or “she chose differently”. I hope this helped!
