More and more people prefer to live in a city, but the living space there is not unlimited. What can be done to solve this problem? Korea's government has an ultimate solution - a brand new city, which is built from scratch. Songdo is such a planned city, which is also known as smart and green. Thank to the usage of electrical energy only, the greenhouse gas emission is reduced to one third in comparison to other cities of the same side. Smart video screens are installed in every public buildings and household, so conferences and video calls can be done whereever, whenever you like to. The inventors' intention is to use Songdo as a template to construct other cities in e.g. China and India. My next post will be about Medellín in Colombia and its own way to handle the urbanisation.
