HI newbie here Is there any difference between these two sentences Tom und Ich gehen zu Park um Fussball zu spielen Tom und Ich gehen in den Park um Fussball zu spielen I am so confused about when to add das or not It is the same function as English ? If I point a specific plaice than I add den before the Park If I just point a random park that I do not need to add it Hope everyone can help me Cheers :)

This sentence is correct: Tom und ich gehen in den Park um Fußball zu spielen. If you would talk about any park, you would say: in einen Park. In your example you changed the preposition, which has nothing to do with the definite or indefinite article.
