Today I have had a good conversation with my groupmate who studies physics at university, and according to their teacher, we all live in a society of consumption. It means that people don’t focus on essential things; instead, we scroll websites and talk about silly events.
The teacher gave an example. There was a resource group that was conducting some experiments with the speed of light or something like that. Unfortunately, those experiments stopped because they were not profit, and this reason makes sorrowful the teacher. Science is not about profit or entertainment. Moreover, sometimes scientists don’t have success. But anyway they develop and improve this world, and science is supposed to be one of the vital things in this world.
P.S. Are you passionate about science?
