Yesterday I read about the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). I have a degree in Physics and love read biographies and documentaries about big names of Science. One of them taught there: Heinrich Hertz!!
Hertz is so important to Physics that one of the fundamental units was named after him: the hertz (Hz), the fundamental unit of frequency. For example, every radio station has its own broadcast frequency. In Brazil, I listen to the CBN station, at 99.1 MHz (mega hertz), which broadcast news 24 hours a day. (CBN stands for Central Brasileira de Notícias in Brazilian Portuguese).
