The old lady It is common that when the 25th of February comes, heavy wind blows
and lasts for seven days until the beginning of March. The old lady turns the
weather from winter to spring. That wind is called the old lady storm as it is
inherited from old Arabs. [Technically correct, but reads a little funny. :) I would maybe say “The old Arabs called it the old lady storm” or “We inherited the name ‘old lady storm’ from the ancient Arabs”] Today, I came across an article about the weather. It
says that this year the old lady won’t affect the weather as it was preceded by
a [strong trough.]* Does the old lady come to the place where you live? What are
the strange names your people give to the weather changes?
* I don’t understand “strong trough”?
