I'm having a hard time finding a steady language partner on this platform. I see a lot of people seeking to learn English, so I don't know why. I wonder if my nationality plays a part in this. Yes I'm an American, but I don't get involved in the politics. I can understand why Turks or Iranians would be weary around Americans, but I am not your enemy.

Dear Scott, Who told you that people think of Americans as the enemies? All the real enemies are in the top politics (regardless the state) and all of them do not have nationality. Commom people are always ready dealing with each other aren`t they?

It doesn't seem like nationality is a problem on this site. Commitment, however, is a huge problem with language partners. Get a committed partner that's willing to meet often, or else you're probably better off paying tutors on here for lessons to get that commitment.

Let me know if you are still looking for a language partner. We can set a time to practice Turksih/English regularly. I think you can drop me a message if you follow me back. Cheers!

Merhaba, Türkçe’nin gelişmesine yardım edebilirim. Yakın zamanda Amerika’da yaşamayı planlıyorum. Sen de bana kültürünüzü anlatırsın. Bilgilerimizi exchange edebiliriz. Türkçeyi Türk kültürüne dayandırarak anlatabilirim. Böylelikle dilin kültürel yönünü de gösterebilirim. Sende belki Türk’lerin neden düşmanca yaklaştığını anlarsın belki :) güncel politika sevmem seni garip sorularla ‘darlamam’ 😀
