[Do you think that gay people in Korea should come out of the closet?] Yes, I strongly believe that gay people in Korea shouldn't be afraid of coming out of the closet. In South Korea, opinions on gay people and homosexuality are heading in a positive direction. According to a 2013 Gallop poll, 71% of South Koreans aged between 18 and 29 believed that homosexuality should be accepted. In addition, the number of people who said "they cannot accept homosexuals" dropped from 62% in 2013 to 49% in 2018, according to the Korea Social Integration Survey by the Korea Institute of Public Administration. Based on these stats, I believe that Korean society is becoming more tolerant of homosexuality. Hence, more gay people should openly identify their sexual orientations.  (Just a quiz from school. It asked me to write only a few sentences. I was originally gonna write a five-paragraph essay...but ehhhh...😂 I hope no gay people in Korea get offended by thinking that I'm assuming it is an easy thing to do in Korea. I just had to pick a side. 😂 I know some people take things too literally here 😂.)
