Day 9 The traditional television as it used to be 20-30 years ago is no longer viable on the entertainment market. The system has changed. There is a contention that TV will cease to exist in the future. Some substitutes popped up for the last 10 years or so. As we can see new platforms for video content are booming nowadays which are Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime and etc. They are launching their own products like movies, TV shows, cartoons, documentary films which you can watch only if you have a subscription. Another phenomenon which worth mentioning is YouTube. It’s a platform where everybody can become a filmmaker on their own. There are numerous influencers on that platform who amassed millions of followers. These guys gained prominence by coming up with their own content. And I think it’s kind of cool. If you have a worthy idea and feel you’re better off on your own - more power to you! You no longer need producers and directors standing behind your back. It’s absolutely a win-win situation for all sides. The platform derives income from embedded AD and shares it with channels which users view free of charge. Correct me, please, if you see a mistake. 🙌🏻 #moreфон_italki #moreфон2020
