Nguyen Thi Quynh
This is our traditional cake, Banh Chung ,at Lunar New Year which is called Tet in Vietnam. At Tet all famillies make Chung cake to worship their beloved ones or ancestors who died. The main ingredients are sticky rice, green bean and pork, of course we also add some other spices into it. Chung cake is often boiled for 12 hours. After that we use a heavy thing to press it so that all remaining water inside it will brim out. When it becomes cool and dry , we unwrap and enjoy it. (We often wrap it with banana leaf or another kind of leaf which is just available in Vietnam.)
