"The sofa is not big enough for me to get much sleep on, but for short people it might be ok." 4. "I couldn't sleep well on the sofa since it's shorter than me." 5. "The sofa wasn't comfortable for me because I'm tall, so I couldn't sleep on it."

Good stuff. You sleep in bed but on a sofa. I suppose because people don't have sheets or blankets on a sofa. After 'get' you could use to, any or much. I didn't get to sleep. I didn't get any/much sleep. Buy a bigger sofa! :-)
