Queen's Gambit is the last movie I watched, it's a movie about a talented orphan breaking through challenges in life. What I like about this movie is the character went through dark period of herself and she decided to stand up and move forward for her loved ones. In fact, there're many people facing the hard time in the Covid year, and I think the character inspired the audience to face the situation. Additionally, the character won her victory in chess games, and she won true self even there are so many temptation of fame and wealth. Her attitude on turning down financial assistance is brave for her situation, but she stock with what she really wants to be, not what other people want her to be. That's the treasure of human heart. From where I stand, there are many interesting topics to discuss from the movie, including the sterotype on gender. It seems not a matter of gender for the character, she is going to be the way she is anyway. Therefore, we should stop making excuses for what hold us up to reach what we dream, not the family, not the addiction on alcohol or drug, not the gender, non of these will stop us approaching our dream if we really want it to happen.
