Today Google is celebrating to Maria Grever. She was a mexican singer who broke
the rules in a men's world by being a singer, composer and song writer. She
was born in Leon, Guanajuato on September 14th in 1885 and lived for a while in
Spain where she took music classes by Claude Debussy and Franz Lehár. In 1907
she got married to León Augusto Grever and she went to live to New York in
1916, because of the Mexican revolution, where she will died on December 15 of 1951. But
at her resquest she was buried in Mexico city. She had some recognitions, for
example: the keys of Mexico city, medal of Merito Civico and medal of Mexico heart,
among others.
